I’m a Barbie Girl: the Molly Pattern by Made for Mermaids

I recently had the privilege of testing this super cute new dress pattern for Made for Mermaids. I love all her patterns and have tested more than a handful of them! She has a great selection of Everyday Princess patterns that are just top notch! If you like what you see, click on over to purchase the dress here.

Molly3I had this super cute conversation Barbie inspired fabric that was dying to be used along with some great black and white old school telephone fabric. With a little creativity, the Call Me Maybe dress was born! Kenzie has this adorable and spunky bright pink Mustang power wheel car she loves to cruise around on and this outfit paired perfectly.

Molly3-9I love the style of this dress- the square bodice with an elastic back for easy on/off and room to grow. Kenzie has a lot of dresses with the elastic back that she has gotten over a year of wear from. This dress can move from dress to tunic with leggings to a top with shorts! The flutter strap detail is super in style this summer, and I love the easy directions to create the look. Kenzie isn’t a big fan of halter ties as they pull on her neck throughout the day, but this pattern has a cute back loop to tie the straps through.

Molly3-6I wanted to tie in the telephone fabric so I added a hem band with this super awesome glittery organza ribbon detail. If it doesn’t scream girly to you, we may need to set you up to get your eyes checked!

A few months ago, I purchased Kenzie this adorable Frozen inspired hair clip from Cutesy Girl Hairbows on etsy. When I was thinking of accessories for this outfit, I thought to see if she could make a custom bow. Sure enough, she whipped this hair pretty up!

Molly3-4This style is going to be a staple this summer! I look forward to making many many more!
