Ship Shape with Blaverry Patterns

I recently had the opportunity to sew up some patterns for a special review team for Pattern Revolution. One of the reviewers had posted a link to a new pattern shop, Blaverry Patterns, and the entire group went ga-ga for the trendy, clean look of the entire collection. I was privileged with the chance to try out three different patterns from the collection: Nayvee Leggings, Baylen Swing Top, and the Knotlin Dress

Right away, my mind went “nautical” because well, that’s the title of her entire collection! But I wanted to think outside the box of navy, white, black, gold, etc. A huge color trend this past summer was coral. After browsing, I was able to select fabrics a dress, leggings and top that featured coral, gold, and silver.

Want to see more of these stylish outfits…keep reading!

Let’s take a closer look at the Baylen Swing Top and Nayvee Leggings.

The top has this stylish curved open back, where I thought using some beautiful coral crocheted lace would really show off the unique cut.

The leggings are a great, snug fit and sew up quickly. Lining up the stripes took more time and sewing the leggings themselves! Remind me to ditch stripes and chevrons next time.

There are two cute, functional back pockets and sweet side tabs on the hem. A great legging pattern for summer into fall!

My favorite piece was the Knotlin dress. I loved the unique bodice, easily slips over head yet featuring golden anchor buttons as embellishments. I chose a soft coral viscose twill for the bodice and a breezy chiffon overlay for the skirt that had white stars scattered about.

The last image is absolutely my favorite. Hailey Faria Photography nailed this shoot! We are blessed to live minutes from one of the World’s most beautiful beach, Lanikai, and it was the perfect setting for these outfits. Sailboats, outrigger canoes, and catamarans line the beach just waiting for this precious girl to lounge on and gaze up into the bright blue sky.
