Savoring Summer- a Pop Pop Holder Tutorial

In my house, popsicles are a way of life for the summertime. They are consumed in the morning, noon and night! They can be eaten before a meal, during a meal, or after a meal. No rules, just pop pop! Being such a tough little cookie, I don’t mind how cold my hands get while holding a popsicle, but just in case you mind…

*only one popsicle was harmed in the making of this tutorial*
 Pop Pop Holder: A Tutorial

You will need fabric of your choice, fleece, and a set of velcro
cut your fabric to be 6.25 in. x 6.25 in. The velcro 2.5 in. each The fleece: 6.25 in. x 5 in.

Lay your fabric with right sides together, and the fleece across the center of the fabric. The sides should all line up. Sew down both sides on the right and left.

Fold down the top edge of your fabric until it is in line with the fleece. Iron in place.

Fold again. Press in place.

Do this for the top and bottom of your fabric pieces so that it will look like this:

You are now going to sew from the outside, turn the fabric to be right sides out (careful, you may lose your pressed edges).

Sew the top and bottom edges. You should have one piece, with print on the front and back.

Now, gather your velcro. I use velcro that adheres when ironed, so I quickly press my strips of velcro. There is velcro that is not sticky, that you would pin in place. Place one strip of your velcro on the right edge, centered. Sew in place.

On the opposite side, sew the other part of the velcro (be sure to flip your fabric over so you’ll have one piece on the front side and one piece on the back side). When you roll the fabric, the velcro should line up. Add one Pop Pop and you’re good to go!

Yum! Yum!
