Hey all!!! I am back to blog all about K’s new favorite twirly angel dress (as she’s named it), from the Naples Dress pattern by Jennuine Designs. I am so fortunate to be on this great line up of really fabulous and talented bloggers for the Naples Dress Blog Tour and can’t wait to share all about it!
The Naples Dress pattern is written for sizes newborn through girls 12- woah is that a phenomenal size range!!! It includes a whole plethora of options including: 4 sleeve options, 2 skirt options, 2 length options, several necktie/closure options and instructions for splitting the back bodice if desired. The pattern features illustrations for visuals of the thorough step-by-step tutorial. My favorite PDF pattern feature, layer printing, is a great asset to the Naples Dress pattern. I found Jennifer’s tutorial to be very detailed, full of great tips and various techniques to create a one-of-a-kind dress, and very professional in finish and presentation.
K asked to have a dress length, full and twirly gathered skirt and the butterfly sleeves. I chose to sew the skinny bias tie option for the neckline closure and kept the back bodice with plenty of room for easy on/off. She put my skills to the test and twirled her way around the field until she almost fell over!
Can we discuss these amazing fabrics???? Art Gallery Fabrics generously sponsored all the fabric for this blog tour and I was like a giddy kid in a candy shop picking out the perfect pairing for our Naples Dress. After hours of going back and forth on combinations, I finally was able to decide on the most glorious, buttery smooth, Icy Mint solid knit and my new obsession: Painterly Wash from the AGF Denim Studio. Both fabrics were the perfect weight, drape and texture for the Naples Dress pattern. I love the flowy, airy feel of this combination!
