Hey friends!!! I am soooo excited for the Pantone Color of the Year for 2019: Living Coral. As a child, I grew up loving the color pink! Everything was pink, pink, pink. But as I am getting older (so gracefully, if I could add), my color taste has become a bit more refined and I definitely dig the coral vibes! The color is cheerful, bright and adds warmth during these cooler months. But you don’t have to wait for spring or summer to add some coral touches to your wardrobe! Let’s take a look at some of my favorite coral fabrics:

If you want to take the shortcut and get right to shopping, you can head to my Color of the Year board here.
Stripes
Along with my refined color pallet, I am totally feeling the business casual vibes for 2019. These striped fabrics are on point!
I love this grey and coral wool from Mood. I could totally rock a striped blazer, skinny jeans and a nice heel for a date night!
This white and coral linen also from Mood is begging to become some great trousers like the Lander pant from True Bias.
Knits
If you’re not into the business casual look, let’s check out these coral-y knits for your comfy and cozy patterns:
A marled sweater knit from Fabric.com would make an awesome poncho in cooler temps! Sooooo cozy!
You know my love of duster cardigans is DEEP, so I’d totally love a Darcey Duster in this gorgeous Ponte de Roma from Fabric.com.
Florals
It’s like as if some fabric companies just knew what the 2019 color of the year would be when they released their late 2018 collections!
A gorgeous Odgen Cami in this spectacular rayon challis from Cotton & Steel/Rifle Paper Co. would be the perfect pop of coral!
I can totally see myself walking the beach in a Giselle Kimono sewn from this fun Cotton & Steel/Rifle Paper Co lawn print.
Lastly, this incredible floral from Margaret Jeane for Hawthorne Supply Co is the perfect print to ease your way into adding coral! You can order this print in poplin, rayon, quilting cotton, canvas and knit so the pattern pairings are endless!
I hope you found inspiration to add some coral into your wardrobe this year! Whether you want to go for a solid coral or a subtle coral, I am sure this 2019 Color of the Year will bring you some warmth and cheer.
Let me know which fabric was your favorite and what you’d love to sew with it in the comments below! I can’t wait to add some coral into my own wardrobe so stay tuned for some great looks in 2019 with some of these prints!
