Greer Jumpsuit x Mood Sewing Network

Another fun #MoodSewingNetwork post for you today!!! This one was, of course, Pinterest inspired and sooooo perfect for summer!

When the Hey June Handmade Greer jumpsuit pattern released, I knew I just had to have it but I couldn’t quite decided which option to sew up first!!! Cue the endless scrolling of my pinterest feed until I found “the” look I wanted to recreate.

I love how fresh, airy and easy the outfit looked and knew I’d want that all.day.every.day this summer!

The Fabric

I chose this amazing stretch linen from Mood in a natural stripe colorway. I wanted something similar to the Pinterest look that would be easy to wear without a ton of ironing. Linen has that beautiful yet sometimes daunting wrinkly quality to it, so choosing a linen blend usually means less wrinkle during the day! There are several other colors to choose from in this same substrate! Before you know it, you may have a closetful of linen Greers HA!

The stretch is pretty subtle so as the day continues, the jumpsuit didn’t get too baggy or slouchy…total WIN!

The Pattern

The Greer jumpsuit includes a sleeveless option or the tie shoulder option. It can be sewn with longer pant legs or shorts. It has a really relaxed fit so it’s super easy to throw on over any style top and is so comfy all day long…no matter how many tacos or scoops of ice cream you may consume!

I added a cute little cuff to the shorts of my Greer to emulate the Pinterest inspired look. I simply took away the hem allowance, sewed a folded band along the bottom of the inside of the shorts and then flipped it up on the outside. I tacked the cuff along both the inseam and side seam, and again in the front center and back center of the shorts. Easy little hack to add some interest and detail!!!

The Finished Look

Here she is in all her glory. Such a fast sew. Such a cute fabric print. Such a classic summer look!!! I hope you enjoyed it!
